Marc provided a weekly jam space and positive environment for several of my early projects, either bringing a pre-made group to him or playing with a band he helped put together. He encouraged originality and Marc was a wonderful piano teacher and role model for our son from his primary years to Grade 12. I suspect our son wouldn’t have continued with music lessons throughout his busy high school years had it not been for Marc’s designing a programme that captured our son’s multiple and evolving musical interests and Marc’s gift for relating so well to people of diverse ages. He is a truly great teacher.

Our two sons have been students of Marc’s for approximately ten years. Marc has taught them as individual students, shared lessons and as members of a four-piece band. Marc has an amazing combination of patience as well as an uncanny ability to engage and inspire. He has adjusted and evolved his approach as our sons grew up. It’s a real testament to Marc’s skills and commitment that my sons have looked forward to their weekly music lessons for nearly a decade.

Marc Enkin taught our children piano ( as well as some guitar and singing along the way ) for eight years. Both our son and daughter were (and are) very fond of Marc. He has a special gift for relating to children. Marc makes learning music fun and that is so important. Both Marc and Rebecca are warm and this makes their home studio welcoming. Back in 2008, I was looking for a music teacher for my son who had recently purchased his first guitar. Marc came highly recommended by a good friend and upon meeting him, we knew that he would be the perfect choice. Marc is talented, enthusiastic, motivating and fun to work with. My son loved every lesson he had with him, from guitar and harmonica to voice lessons. Later, in 2011, once my son was good enough, he joined two friends and another of Marc’s students in the creation of a rock band, and together they took lessons in performing. This led to gigs in coffee shops and restaurants around Toronto and even a professional recording of one of their original songs. All in all, Marc has not only been a fabulous teacher and mentor, but a good friend and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending his services.
