Marc and his trio played for us at a dinner honouring our newly wed daughter and son-in-law. Our guests were greeted with beautiful subtle background music, light jazz, pop, klezmer and show tunes, which turned into a joyous dance when the bride and groom arrived. The group played throughout the dinner with a wonderful repertoire, always enjoyable and toe tapping, but never too loud to down out conversation. When we made specific requests, they were quick to pick up on what was needed. Our guests were highly complementary of the trio. They certainly helped to make the evening a great success. We want to thank you and your band for making our daughter’s wedding so memorable last Saturday. We received so many compliments from our guests. (“Wow, is this ever good”, “What great music”, “I’ve never been to an event where I’ve enjoyed the music more”, etc., etc.) Even the “quiet tables” turned out to be just listening with all attention and appreciation. Some mentioned the mix of styles to make everyone happy—from the teens to the seventies, people were dancing and having a great time. Rebecca Enkin’s lovely voice and manner impressed everyone. Her range of styles and warm personality included all of us in the music. Bruce Griffin can sure sing as well as play bass, and you, Marc, play a mean piano and harmonica. Jazz aficionados commented on the saxophone and guitar, and the drums kept everyone on the beat. I myself danced almost every dance (who needs partners?). So, Marc, thank you again for playing for our wedding. I will certainly recommend you to everyone I know.
